    Black Ink Paintings (2010-ongoing)

Black ink painting is a wonderful break from my color intensive studio work. It is a pleasure to work with the same materials as the ancients. I also pay homage to the great contemporary Sumi-e painter, Shozo Sato.
The paintings are done with traditional hand-ground Chinese ink on unsized mulberry paper. Most are 9” X 12”.
