I had not done any screen printing before the late 1970s. I began with a series of master studies of impressionist and post impressionists. From there I moved to a group of abstract prints with color overlays and wild sperm, carried over from my undergraduate days and to dominate my work of the 1980s. Social commentary is dominant in a series on American Indian history that were part of my table assemblage, "Scenes from an American Tragedy." The final two prints on the threat of nuclear war fit with a series of table paintings done in the early 1980s, including "Five Futures." Finally a self-portrait in graphite and colored pencils. Prints are 22" X 30" to 9" X 12."
